The start of summer heralds the start of long evenings, warm weather and an overwhelming sense of adventure. What can you do during the week apart from going out to dinner or simply grabbing a drink at a bar? You’ve finally gotten off work and you’re ready to go outside to play in the sun but it seems like most museums, attractions or stores are starting to close. Head over to the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens for Flowers after 5. June 4- August 27, every Thursday, the garden will remain open to 9 pm. There will be live music, family-friendly activities at the children’s garden and wine, beer and food for purchase at the Bloemendaal House. Leashed pets will be allowed on the second Thursday of every month for an extra $2- benefiting the Richmond SPCA.
