Looking to do something a little different this Easter? Save yourself the time, the effort and the money of scattering your lawn with plastic Easter eggs this year and instead head over to Maymont for a kid-friendly afternoon outside with the whole family.
Saturday, April 4th from 10am- 3pm, outside the Carriage House Lawn, Maymont will host a huge Easter celebration with activities that include more than just stuffing your face with chocolate.
There will be live music, carriage rides, inflatable games, crafts, face painting, Egg hunts, rock climbing, ziplining, hay rides, a bonnet parade, puppets, magic shows, a moon bounce and a photo area to document all the crazy things you end up doing over the course of the day.
There will be 4 scheduled egg hunts. During each hunt, there will be two zones- one for children age 4 and under and one for children ages 5-10. Each egg has a toy or candy prize. Some eggs include additional certificates which can be redeemed at the price table. There is a limit of 10 eggs per child.
Maymont is FREE. To participate in a large number of the Easter activities, you will need to purchase tickets. Each ticket is $2 and can be purchased at the ticket tent. For a list of performances and activity costs, visit: https://www.maymont.org/dominion-family-easter
